The Tenant declares on his honour that he does not exercise and does not seek to exercise any profession in the rented premises and that the premises which are the subject of the present contract are rented to him only as a temporary residence, major conditions without which the present rental would not have been agreed. 

Kerbel Lighthouse Bonds:

The Phare de Kerbel undertakes to make the rented accommodation available to the Tenant in accordance with the description and to respect the obligations resulting from the present agreement.

Timetable and duration :

• Nightly rental: arrival from 2pm, departure the next day by 11am (possible all year round except the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August)

• Weekly rental (obligatory the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August, possible all year round): arrival from 5pm (Saturday the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August), departure 7 nights later by 11am

• The rental period may not be extended without the prior agreement of the Phare de Kerbel.

• Tenants must contact Mrs Muin (+33 6 82 01 84 39) at the latest the day before arrival so that she can organise the reception.

Payment :

A deposit of 30% of the total cost of the stay must be paid at the time of booking if the booking is made more than six weeks before the stay. The remaining amount of the reservation must be paid six weeks before the stay.

If the balance is not paid within the agreed time, the tenant will be considered to have cancelled their stay. From then on, the service will be open for rental again and no refund will be made.

Obligations of the tenant :

The furniture and furnishings shall only suffer the depreciation resulting from the normal use for which they are intended. Those that are missing or have been put out of service for any reason other than normal wear and tear must be paid for or replaced by the Tenant with the agreement of the Phare de Kerbel.

The following will be retained, where applicable: the value of broken or cracked objects, the cost of washing or cleaning blankets, mattresses, bedding, etc., that have been stained.
The Tenant undertakes to use the furniture and objects furnishing the rented property for their intended purpose and in the places where they are located. The tenant is formally forbidden to transport them outside the rented premises.
The premises must be left clean. Any additional cleaning time due to disorder or poor maintenance of the premises will be withheld or invoiced.

The premises currently rented must not be occupied by more people than indicated in the special provisions, except with the prior agreement of the Phare de Kerbel.

Guarantee deposit

A deposit of 300€, for the rental of the lighthouse only, and 1000€ for the whole property will be requested on arrival and returned one week after your departure. The tenant is fully responsible for the condition of the property according to the inventory of fixtures made on arrival. This guarantee is not limited to this amount, and may, if necessary, be increased according to the cost of the work.

Cancellation / modification at the initiative of the tenant :

Modification :

Reservations can be changed free of charge if the change is made more than three months before the original date of arrival.

It can be modified, with a €50 handling fee, if the modification is made between 3 months and 6 weeks before the initially planned arrival date.

It can no longer be changed if it is made less than six weeks before the date of arrival initially planned.

Cancellation :

If the cancellation is made more than three months before the date of arrival, a cancellation fee of 50€ will be charged.

If the cancellation is made between 3 months and 6 weeks before the date of arrival, the 30% deposit will be retained.

If the cancellation is made between six and two weeks before the date of arrival, 50% of the rental amount will be due.

If the cancellation is made less than two weeks before the date of arrival, the full amount of the rental will be due.

Whatever the reasons for cancellation, the Phare de Kerbel must be notified in writing (registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or e-mail), the date of receipt of this notice determining the rate to be applied. Any tenant who has not notified the owner will be required to pay the full amount of the rental.

COVID :

In the current pandemic context, if the stay cannot take place on the date initially planned due to government health measures, a postponement, without a date, will be offered, valid for one year.

Validity of gift offer :

If you offer a stay, the offer is valid for 1 year from the date of payment.

Smoking :

For reasons of safety and nuisance for future tenants, smoking is not permitted in the premises.

Animals:

For reasons of hygiene and nuisance for future tenants, animals are not allowed.
